Transit front line Ambulance

Ford Transit – First Aid Unit/Ambulance

EDSFAT’s front line ambulance is a purpose built and converted Ford Transit. The vehicle provides the team with modern technologies, systems and better manual handling.  As with other EDSFAT vehicles, it is equipped with all the equipment needed to operate at hikes, camps, events and jamborees.  This includes first aid, ambulance aid, diagnostics and defibrillation equipment.

For the transportation of patients the vehicle is equipped with a Ferno “easylift” stretcher along with two forward facing seats and a built in child seat.  With the trolley stretcher removed, the vehicle has tie down points to accommodate a wheel chair.

The vehicle is equipped with the team’s radio system, hand held radios and a mobile phone  to allow communications at events.
