Happy New Year! – January Training!

We would like to wish a very happy new year to all our friends and followers!
What better way to start the year off than with a fantastic day of EDSFAT team training?
Everyone is welcome to join us, even if you have never been to one of our training days before.

Where? St Richards Hall, Brighton – BN1 7BU.
There is plenty of on street parking.
When? 11/1/2020 1000hrs – 1600hrs

What? The main two sessions of the day will be:

1) Capacity and Consent in first aid – Delivered by one of our Paramedics, Emily. An interactive presentation to introduce the key principles of Capacity and how to assess it and how to gain valid consent for examination and treatment.

2) Diabetes, Diabetic emergencies and blood glucose measurements. Delivered by one of our Paramedic Practitioners, Matt. Introduction to the causes of diabetes and the emergency treatment options available to EDSFAT and a practical session on the testing of blood sugar as part of a holistic patient assessment.

We are also planning some problem based learning scenarios that will be revealed on the day.

Please bring a packed lunch with you, tea, coffee and hot chocolate will be available throughout the day.

Please also bring a tablet or phone with internet access so that you can take part in the interactive aspects of the presentations. We will a few spares and WIFI will be available.
