Fundraising

EDSFAT is a totally self funded and financially independent part of Eastbourne District. This requires that EDSFAT undertakes its own fundraising to enable it to "Support Scouting Events".

Therefore to suppliment the small charges we make for events EDSFAT undertakes a number of fundraising activities:

First Aid equipment/product sales
High Visibility product sales
Maglite sales
Partake in a virtual online shopping scheme
Public Event Car parking duties

EDSFAT Online Shop

EDSFAT operates an online shop where we sell both First Aid Equipment and High Visibility Equipment. These products are normally supplied at prices lower than those that are available on the high street. Additionally a lot of the equipment is difficult to purchase from shops. Virtual online shopping

As well as the First Aid Sales and High visibility sales EDSFAT is part of a online shopping scheme. Please visit our virtual shop where you will be able to link to shops like M&S, Comet, Amazon and many many others and help raise money for EDSFAT. For every purchase you make though our virtual shop EDSFAT receives a commission at no extra cost to you. Please spread the word.

Car Parking

One of the biggest fundraising opportunities for EDSFAT is providing car parking duties at public events. By providing professional adults and the use of a dedicated private radio system EDSFAT is able to offer a swift, efficient and organised car parking provision for large events. A few examples of duties are shown below:

EDSFAT provides the car parking control for the ticket holders along the sea front in Brighton for the London to Brighton Bike Ride as well as at a local council car park in Hove.
EDSFAT provides the car parking control in a local field for the three day "Festival of Transport" in Hellingly, nr. Eastbourne each year over the August Bank holiday.
In the past EDSFAT has provided car parking control for the BBC Springwatch event in Stanmer Park, Brighton.
Most recently EDSFAT have provided car parking control at a two day craft fair at Queen Elizabeth Country Park, nr. Petersfield.
